Where and How Can I Apply?

Starting your Apprenticeship journey is simple and exciting.
Here's everything you need to know about finding and applying for the right opportunity that matches your ambitions and interests.

Step 1 Application

Applying for an Apprenticeship: What you need to know

Unlike other courses, you cannot simply enrol onto an Apprenticeship. To get started, you’ll need to take one of the following two routes to secure an Apprenticeship:

Option A — Apply online for an Apprenticeship Vacancy

Our available Apprenticeships can be found on the Loughborough College website. If you'd like to widen your search and find apprenticeships across the UK visit the Gov UK website.

Search tips:

  • Always check the entry criteria before applying.
  • Check the location of the Apprenticeship workplace and training provider to ensure you can travel to both!
  • Struggling to find a vacancy? Don’t worry! Keep checking back as new vacancies are posted year round.
  • Look over the job role to make sure you are happy with all the duties advertised.

Application tips:

  • try to give as much detail as you can
  • back up your answers with examples to make yourself stand out
  • include all relevant quals including GCSEs
  • Don’t forget to talk about any previous or current work experience you have, paid or voluntary!

Option B — Already have an employer

If you are already working for a company who are interested in supporting you with an Apprenticeship or you have approached a company yourself who is happy to take you on, just get in touch with us and let us know the details so our dedicated Account Managers can make contact with them to discuss further.

Step 2 Application Review

When you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed by our Apprenticeship Recruitment Team.


Step 3 Telephone Call

If your application is shortlisted, we will call you to have a quick chat about your application and gather any additional details.


Step 4 Employer Interview

Your application will be shared with the employer and if selected, you will be invited to attend an interview with them.


Step 5 Pre-Enrolment

If successful at interview, you will agree a start date with the employer and we will start prepping for your enrolment.


Step 6 Start Apprenticeship

Your enrolment will be completed and your Apprenticeship begins!
