Loughborough College welcomed back Space Engineering alumnus Moiz Siddiqi, who graduated from the award-winning programme in 2021, to share his journey and inspire the next generation of students.
Since graduating, Moiz has forged an extraordinary and varied career spanning roles in youth leadership, space research, and mental health advocacy.
Moiz delivered a talk to learners where he reflected on his journey from Loughborough College to working on mental health innovation. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about his career transitions, insights into the space industry, and advice on navigating mental health challenges.
Curriculum Manager for Engineering at Loughborough College, Nicola Stevens shared: “Moiz has been on an outstanding career path since graduating from our Space Engineering programme. To see him thrive both professionally and personally has been inspiring, and we are so proud to welcome him back to share his unique story with our current students. I think everyone has learnt something new from Moiz.”
Moiz served as Derby Youth Mayor before embarking on his professional journey and has achieved remarkable milestones in the three years since leaving Loughborough, from serving as a Mission Specialist for the 2023 Space Health Research Analogue Space Mission, to contributing as a Human Factors Engineer for Rolls Royce, where he now works.
Throughout his achievements, Moiz’s passion for promoting positive mental health and wellbeing has remained central to his career.
