Loughborough College's Radmoor Restaurant has been recognised for its exceptional contributions to the food and drink industry by being shortlisted in the highly respected Great Food Club Awards.

The restaurant has earned a place in the esteemed Food Hero shortlist, a unique category dedicated to celebrating individuals and organisations making significant impacts within the culinary world.

The Great Food Club (GFC) employs a meticulous selection process to determine its shortlist. With over 6,000 votes cast, the top four finalists were chosen based on their dynamic and varied contributions to their communities and industries.

The Radmoor Restaurant's inclusion in the shortlist highlights its outstanding reputation and the significant impact it has made to develop the future of the hospitality and catering industry.

With a legacy of supporting current and former students, Radmoor Restaurant has seen tremendous success. Earlier this year, staff and students collaborated with local social supermarket Your Store to raise awareness on food sustainability.

More recently, the restaurant hosted a guest chef evening, welcoming back alumni for a successful charity event, and also earning two awards at the esteemed UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year event.

Curriculum Manager for Hospitality and Catering at Loughborough College, Darren Creed shared, “It’s a privilege to be shortlisted by GFC. This recognition comes as a testament to the hard work and dedication of the restaurant's team of staff and students.

“Our ethos really focuses on the development of the new generation of hospitality and catering professionals, with students consistently presenting high quality food and service to our guests.”

The winners of the Great Food Club Awards will be announced on Tuesday 1 October.

Congratulations to the Radmoor Restaurant team, and best of luck!
