Former student earns England call-up

Loughborough College alumna Morwenna Talling has been called up to the Womens’ England Rugby squad for the 2022/23 season.
Morwenna, 19, plays as a forward for Loughborough Lightning and studied A Levels at College between 2018 and 2020. She has been re-called to the squad after recovering from injury.
Brad Jones, who leads Women’s Rugby at College, said: “It’s great to see Morwenna earn another England call-up and represent Loughborough on the national and international stage.
“Morwenna is such a talented player and was a hard-working student. She is a perfect example of how the relationship between the Loughborough Lightning and Loughborough College programme can work to develop and support young, talented student-athletes in their journey.
“Everyone at College wishes Morwenna and the team the best of luck in the coming season.”
