Paralympic table tennis star and former Loughborough College student Ross Wilson has added the Spanish Open to his impressive resume.
Ross, 26, won the singles and doubles titles in the Costa Brava Spanish Para Open in Platja d’Aro, scooping the doubles title on Sunday, March 27th, along with new partner Joshua Stacey.
Ross, who studied a BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Sport at Loughborough College, told tabletennisengland.co.uk: “It’s been a great competition playing with Josh and to get the win in our first competition together. I think we worked really well as a team and that showed in our results out here.
“Moving forward I think we will be able to improve and continue to get results like this. It was brilliant to have an all-British final against Aaron and Billy who also had a great competition.”
Ross is a three-time Paralympic bronze medallist, a World, European and Commonwealth champion who competes in class 8 of the singles and in classes 6-8 in doubles.
He has multiple epiphyseal dysplasia, which affects the growing ends of the bones.
