More than 2,000 students at Loughborough College have been praised for achieving fantastic exam results across three educational pathways.
Students at the Radmoor Road-based College visited the campus today to open their A Level, T Level and vocational results with their friends and family, whilst being given the opportunity to discuss their next steps.
Corrie Harris, Principal and CEO at Loughborough College said: “These outstanding results increase year on year and really highlight our students' hard work and dedication, proving once again their ability to achieve excellence.
“Our students demonstrate an inspiring passion for their studies, and we hope they are as proud of themselves as we are. We can’t wait to see what they go onto do next.”
A Level students achieved a 95% pass rate, with 62% of students achieving A*- C grades. 15% of students achieved top grades (A*-A).
Reuben, who achieved three A*s in Psychology, Business and Law, said: “I’m really pleased with my results. Loughborough College has been fantastic, and I’ve really enjoyed my time here. It’s given me a very positive perception of how education can really help you on your personal journey.
“I’ve found that at Loughborough College, everything you put in is what you get out, and if you work hard you get the results you want.”
The College also celebrated its second student cohort completing a T Level qualification this year, with 66% students achieving Merit or above for their overall provisional T Level Grade.
T Levels are a new technical-based qualification which have seen students benefit from hands-on experience, blending traditional learning with industry placements. Student Libby Maddock, who achieved an overall distinction in her T Level Education qualification said: “I’ve got a place at Sheffield Hallam University to study Primary Education. T Level was perfect for me, because I always knew I wanted to go into teaching so it got me on the right path and gave me the experience straight away.”
A record number of vocational students completed their Level 3 Vocational and Technical courses this year.
Students across all qualifications marked their achievements with their peers, celebrating their success in moving onto various pathways including university, full time employment and higher-level apprenticeships.
