The 25-year-old studies on a bespoke timetable linked to a supported internship designed for students with disabilities.
Currently working on a plan to assist his transition from college to work, Craig is talking to students within the college to raise awareness of disability issues, share the realities of a day in his life, and how he balances living with a disability, studying, and looking to enter the workplace.
Craig is hoping to leverage his experience to help others, and after college hopes to play a role working with organisations and companies to discuss disability rights and the support they need to offer.
Craig recently spoke with Level 2 and Level 3 Public Service students studying units which include equality and diversity. His shared his personal experiences to help the young students better understand disability rights and opportunities and how important rights and equality are in a fair society.
Craig highlighted specific examples of times he had been discriminated against, which surprised the students, but helped them think about ways they could help address inequality.
