Determined students have been recognised for their hard work and achievements following the publication of GCSE results today.
This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards.
, Principal & CEO of Loughborough College, said: “We are so proud of all of our brilliant GCSE students who have worked incredibly hard to achieve their results in, what has been, an unprecedented year of challenge and disruption.
“There are so many examples of people, from all walks of life, who have overcome personal challenges to get back into learning or who have shown incredible determination to unlock their potential and pursue their dream careers.
“Their stories and their successes are a constant inspiration to our staff and reminds us of exactly why we work in the FE sector - to teach and support people to achieve their ambitions.
“It is extremely important to stress that although there have been no exams this year, the results we have seen today are a true reflection of the effort our students have put into their studies and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve achieved.”
