Aldi has donated IT equipment to students at Loughborough College to support their further education.
The UK’s fourth-largest supermarket has provided more than 300 laptops to the college, ensuring even more students are able to participate in essential digital learning.
The donation comes as Aldi is set to make significant investments in the region, including searching for new sites in Birstall and Oadby, as well as building a new distribution centre in Bardon.
Laura Shepherd, Director of Strategic Partnerships and External Relationships at Loughborough College, said: “This generous donation from Aldi will support our Student Bursary offering and we are grateful for their support in our growing partnership. As technology evolves and e-learning becomes increasingly essential, it's important for us to provide students with the tools they need to excel.”
Mary Dunn, Regional Managing Director at Aldi UK, said: “It is important to us that we give back to our local communities wherever we can, especially by supporting those who need it most.
“We hope these laptops help support the hardworking staff and students at Loughborough College in their studies and this is just one example of the ways in which we’re investing in the region currently.”
