GCSE Maths is a key to opening up opportunities in employment or further education. As well as working as a group, you’ll be doing practical activities, pair work tasks, discussing your progress, and, hopefully, having fun as you build your confidence. Students are well-supported in their preparation for the end-of-year examinations through revision sessions and online platforms.

This course is designed for over-19s, running from 6-9, one evening a week throughout the academic year.

We offer the new syllabus maths with Edexcel which is graded under the new 9-1 grading system.

Course Content

You'll cover a variety of topics, including:

  • data collection
  • probability
  • pie charts
  • ratios and proportions
  • solving equations
  • number patterns and sequences
  • measures
  • angles and bearings
  • properties of shapes

As well as working from a textbook, you’ll be doing practical activities, playing games, discussing your progress, and, hopefully, having fun as you build your confidence. Students are well supported in their preparation for the end-of-year examinations.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you will be required to attend an informal assessment to ensure that this level of study is appropriate.

This programme is fully funded subject to candidates meeting the eligibility criteria.
