Loughborough College students are being praised today, for their fantastic achievements as they received GCSE exam results which exceed the national average.
Students achieved a remarkable 99% pass rate, with over 250 English students and nearly 150 Maths students earning the top grades of 9-4. This marks an improvement from last year, with many of the College’s students meeting or surpassing their target grades.
Level 2 Vocational and Technical students also received their results, with many expected to return for enrolment in the coming week.
Corrie Harris, Principal and CEO of Loughborough College, expressed her pride in the students, saying, “It is fantastic to see our students’ hard work pay off, and we are incredibly proud of everyone collecting their GCSE results today.
“GCSEs are a vital stepping stone to success and employment, so it is essential that we provide our students with the tools they need to excel. Well done to all.”
English and Maths GCSE student Josh Poxon achieved two grades higher in both subject areas. He said: “I was predicted to get 3s but came out with 5s, which makes me feel so excited and relieved. I’m just really happy and think that Loughborough College has been amazing. I found everything I needed help with, I got.”
Students marked their achievements at the Loughborough-based Radmoor Road campus, where celebrations with friends, family and lecturers were in full swing.
Established in 1909, Loughborough College has built a national reputation of success, spanning a diverse range of qualifications, training, and teaching.
