This programme has been specially designed for students in transition between full-time specialist provision and supported work and living.
Students progressing from special schools/specialist provision at Entry Level 1 and Entry Level 2 are provided with a range of opportunities to gain Entry Level qualifications in employability skills and vocational experience in all or some of the following areas:
The programme is accredited through Pearson BTEC and City & Guilds and students are given the opportunity to achieve externally accredited qualifications. Depending on progression routes, these qualifications are either awards or certificates.

There are no formal entry requirements but students will, where practical, be expected to build on previous skills.
Where development is evident, students can progress on to a second-stage Transitions course, Steps to Success.
