Marketing is vitally important to all businesses providing the insight to develop and deliver new products and services to meet ever-changing customer needs. It is the process of researching, developing, promoting and distributing, products or services through effective channels to engage with a range of target audiences. Occupations in marketing span most industries and sectors and the roles can sit within a specific company/agency that provides marketing deliverables and advice to external clients, or within an internal marketing team, delivering marketing activities to drive that business. Marketing teams generally work with external agencies to deliver specialist elements of their marketing campaigns.
A Marketing Executive will help shape, support and deliver marketing plans, working in conjunction with the Marketing Manager who will define the overall marketing strategy. A highly audience focused role which requires creativity, communication and project management skills - these individuals are responsible for planning and executing tactical and targeted marketing activity.
Entry requirements
Marketing Assistant L3 qualification or a minimum of two years’ experience.
Typically, 5 GCSE’s at Grade 4/C or above, including Level 2 or GCSE C/4 or above in English and Maths.
If an Apprentice has not already achieved Level 2 (GCSE C/4 or above) English & Maths they must: -Study for and achieve Functional Skills Level 2 English & Maths.

- L4 Apprenticeship Standard in Marketing Executive
- L2 Functional Skills English and maths (if required)
- There is the option to gain the CIM L4 Certficate in professional and digital marketing, with exemptions available.

Blended learning, with online study materials, one-to-one coaching tutorials and topic specific in person / class delivery sessions to cover all aspects of the knowledge required for end point assessment.

Key information
- Start date is set college Cohorts – September, January and April – Enrolment to take place the month prior to cohort start date.
- The apprenticeship is primarily based in the workplace.
- Within the first 14 months additional training is delivered at Loughborough College on Tuesday evenings, 5 - 9pm - Apprenticeship specific workshop with Trainer Assessor and Delivery session (Dates to be provided on enrolment).

Additional information
This Apprenticeship consists of a mixture of blended learning in the work place and taught delivery at Loughborough College.
Taught delivery includes one-to-one tutoriasl and the teaching element.
After successful completion of the EPA, the apprentice has the option to gain the CIM L4 Certificate in professional and digital marketing, there are exemptions available for knowledge studied as part of completing the L4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship Standard.
Learner or company to pay for CIM professional membership which is £65 per year.
