Enabling you to work at managerial level within the industry, this one-year, full-time top-up course provides you with an in-depth understanding of the applied processes implemented within public services professions. Seeking to enhance your practice to supervisory standard, you will gain the essential skills and critical techniques necessary for future employment.
Our BA (Hons) Public Services Management (Top-Up) degree is designed to provide you with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical ability to accelerate your progression towards supervisory level. Converting your existing HND or Foundation Degree into a full BA (Hons), this course seeks to enhance your abilities and broaden your understanding of industry processes. Studying various modules, including Strategic Management, Disaster Management, and Public Relations, you will acquire a firm grounding in the concepts of public service management and its position within the modern workplace. This course places considerable emphasis on work-based opportunities and allows you to apply your academic knowledge to practical tasks.
Successful completion of an HND or Foundation Degree
As a graduate, opportunities for employment include careers within the Civil Service, Fire, Ambulance, and HM Prison Services, as well as the Probation and Police Services, and Local and National Government. You may, however, wish to continue with your studies and progress on to postgraduate study at master’s level.
