Spotlight On: Ramadan
As we enter the Holy Month of Ramadan, let’s take a moment to recognise and support our colleagues and students observing this special time. Ramadan is a period of fasting from dawn to sunset, prayer, reflection, and community.
Here are a few simple ways we can show our support:
- Plan with Care: When organising meetings or events, especially those with food, try to schedule them at times that suit everyone, including our fasting colleagues.
- Be Flexible: Offer flexible working hours or breaks to help accommodate prayer times and other religious practices.
- Encourage Awareness: Learn about the significance of Ramadan and share this knowledge. It helps our fasting colleagues and students feel respected and valued.
For more tips and guidance, check out the posters we’ve put together. They’re packed with useful info on supporting our fasting community. And if you need any more advice or support, feel free to reach out to FREDIE.
Let's come together with empathy and inclusivity, making sure everyone at Loucoll feels supported and respected during this time.
