Three members of Loughborough College staff have been shortlisted for national awards which recognise commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Maxine Mattravers, Payroll and Pensions Officer; Nicole Yates, HR Business Partner, and , Principal & CEO, have all been shortlisted in the FREDIE Awards which are given out by the National Centre for Diversity.
Maxine is shortlisted in the Most Inspiring Individual category; Nicole is shortlisted in the FREDIE Lead of the Year category; and Jo is shortlisted as Principal of the Year.
The trio were shortlisted for their outstanding commitment to championing inclusion and diversity and creating a more inclusive environment and culture at Loughborough College.
Wendy Coy, Chair of Governors at Loughborough College, said: “We are extremely proud and delighted that three people from Loughborough College have been shortlisted for the FREDIE Awards.
“Ensuring we have a truly inclusive and diverse workplace is a crucial part of our values and a lot of work is being done to continually improve our approach. These nominations are incredible recognition of the work they’ve done so far to champion inclusion at every level in the College.
“We wish them the very best of luck for the awards ceremony.”
The Awards, now in their sixth year, champion and celebrate people and organisations who are going above and beyond in their commitment to Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE). The winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony on 20th May 2021.
