Year 2 students recently attended a successful university-focused event at College, aiming to help them prepare for the next steps in their academic journey.
The event supported students looking to go to university, with dedicated talks about writing personal statements, UCAS deadlines and information about the Student Finance process.
Hosted by the Higher Education team at Loughborough College, students also learnt about their options of staying at the College to study a degree and heard more about the support system in place for learners transitioning to the next step.
Attendees then had the opportunity to engage with academic staff and representatives from Loughborough University to explore various course options across a wide range of disciplines.
Dean of Higher Education at Loughborough College, Chris Cockerton, said: “The event was an excellent opportunity for our students to explore the possibilities ahead of them in Higher Education. We were proud to showcase the diverse range of degrees on offer at the College and talk to our learners about the advantages of staying with us and supporting them in the next step of their next academic journey.”
The College’s strong partnerships with leading universities such as Loughborough University, Sheffield Hallam University, and the University of Derby ensure students receive a quality education that’s both locally grounded and globally relevant.
During this year’s Graduation ceremony, more than 180 students celebrated their achievements with Loughborough College, with graduates going on to a variety of next steps including post graduate study, and employment.
