Cutting edge technology and teaching approaches are being enhanced at Loughborough College after six tutors became part of an exclusive group of Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Experts.
Following an intense application process, the team will become part of Microsoft’s exclusive global community which shares ideas, tries new approaches, and learns from one other to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
Microsoft said the Loughborough College team was chosen because of their drive, passion for their work, true collaborative spirit, and commitment to inspiring others with outside-the-box thinking on technology in education.
The MIE Experts in Loughborough College are:
- Ian Blakemore
- Harriet Burt
- Adam Leeson
- Rachael Harrison
- Kay Herbert
- Kay Noble
Kay Herbert, Senior Digital Learning Manager at the College, said: “The application process was quite gruelling, so I am thrilled that we have all been selected!
“As part of the Microsoft community, it means we can tap into the most innovative technology and approaches and share these with staff to support the development of digital skills across the organisation. It’s all extremely exciting and we would encourage others to join us!
“And of course, with more digitally savvy staff we can ensure students receive the highest quality education and empower them to create the world of tomorrow.”
