Over 100 Electrical Installation students recently had the unique chance to hear from Tim Nixon, Business Development Manager for NAPIT. Tim’s talk gave learners an industry-level inside look at the support and development available for trade professionals.
NAPIT is a leading Government approved membership scheme operator for the building services and fabric sector.
Classes of JTL apprentices and full-time Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical learners were given the exclusive opportunity to join NAPIT through their free Foundation Student Membership.
Offering numerous industry benefits to enhance their Electrical studies, including access to live webinars, advice from tech professionals, and the opportunity to attend industry events.
Level 2 Electrical Installation student Reuben Lewin said, “The offer through NAPIT to go to trade events really appeals to me, as it gives me a chance to keep up to date with relevant industry related topics.”
Tim also explained the variety of membership levels available for when our students finish their studies. Being registered with the Government’s Competent Persons Register allows individuals and enterprises to self-certify that their work complies with the Building Regulations as an alternative to submitting a building notice or using an approved inspector.
NAPIT also offer discounted industry publications such as the NAPIT FastTest Certification Software. The NAPIT FastTest software enables the creation of over 32 different certificate types.
Electrical Installation lecturer Phil Stott added, “It was great to see so many of our students attending Tim’s visit. His presentation really gave our students the aspiration to register with a government approved membership scheme operator.”
