Student Joy Dlamini has been crowned the Association of Colleges Sport Volunteer of the Month for February for her work as an inclusion ambassador at Loughborough College.
Joy, 18 from Chesterfield, was chosen for educating her peers about people who are often underrepresented in sport whilst shining a light on their experiences and achievements.
She has worked hard over the last three months as a College inclusion ambassador to promote disability sport and LGBTQ+ History Month.
As part of LGBTQ+ History Month, Joy has been part of a team which has organised a discussion panel featuring the College Principal & CEO, , British Olympian Tom Bosworth and Sky Sports presenter Mark McAdam.
Joseph Jowett, the College’s women’s football sport development officer, said: “This award is a testament to Joy’s hard work through lockdown 3.0 and being able to balance her college studies whilst being an excellent ambassador and role model. Congratulations on the award Joy!”
