College hairdressing students were treated to expert tips on colour correction from a top industry pro.
The Level 3 Hairdressing students enjoyed a top-class workshop from Matt Brooks, from ASP Professional, who gave insights into colour correction best practice.
Students were shown how to approach and execute a clean colour correction to rescue clients’ DIY colour catastrophes.
The workshop was designed to improve students’ knowledge and skills and put them into practice using professional products.
Karen Driscoll, Advanced Practitioner in Hairdressing and Barbering at Loughborough College, said: “It was fantastic to have someone who is an industry expert come in and share their knowledge with our students. Matt is a leading colour educator for ASP Professional and he understands what stylists require to achieve amazing results.
“He led the interactive and informative session with confidence and ease which reflected in the eager student response.”
Rushda Nizamdeen, 39 of Leicester, Level 3 Hairdressing student, said: “It was a very positive experience and Matt really emphasised the colour star. I will definitely keep this in mind when I colour hair.”
Emilia Wilenska, 17 of Leicester, also recalled a key teaching from Matt who said: “Colour correction is a journey not a destination.”
Loughborough College encourages an all-rounded journey which accommodates practical and theoretical learning and real-life experience to enhance overall subject knowledge and employability skills.
