Former students set to take to the skies with Jet2

Posted: 6th May 2022 - 3:28pm

Two former Loughborough College travel and tourism students have hit new heights after becoming cabin crew for holiday giant Jet2.

Emily Nadin, 19, from Leicester, and Tegan Greatorex, 19, from Ashby de-la Zouch, graduated from College with an Extended Diploma and Diploma, respectively, in travel and tourism and have recently completed a Jet2 course to become cabin crew.

Emily said: “It’s honestly been one of the hardest four weeks (on the Jet2 crew course) but it’s been SO worth it and I’m so excited to start flying by the end of April. I’ve met some of the loveliest people along the way and the trainers are amazing and get you through the course no matter what. Tenerife is my first flight!

“I wouldn’t have gotten this far without everyone from Loughborough College. Thank you SO much to everyone. I can honestly say so many things we did in College helped me in the training.

“The main parts of the course were the cabin crew course, and especially the English speaking board which allowed me to be so confident when talking in front of a large group of people.”

Tegan said: “I’m so happy I did it! Now I’ve got my wings I should be in the sky by the end of April, fingers crossed. I’m super proud and excited for the next steps.”

Elizabeth Gensler, a travel and tourism lecturer at College, said: “We are so proud of Emily and Tegan. They worked so hard, especially during the pandemic, and have shown great determination throughout their studies both online and in person. The whole team here at College is thrilled to shout about their success.”
