Football academy graduate signs pro contract with the Magpies

Loughborough College learner Luther Munakandafa has signed a professional contract with Notts County Football Club.

Luther, 18, who is studying a BTEC Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching & Development, has been part of the Loughborough College Men’s Football Academy, helping them to national finals whilst earning a call up to the England Colleges team this season.

The exciting forward has now signed professional terms with the National League side where he has impressed as part of its under 19s set-up last season and where he has been given the opportunity to train with the first team.

Miguel Ribeiro, a coach with the College’s football academy, said: “We couldn’t be prouder of Luther. He is a shining example of how hard work, dedication to your sport and a determination to constantly improve can get you success. His professional approach and mature attitude has impressed the club and he is a perfect example of what is needed to make it in the sport.”

A Notts County spokesperson said: “Luther has demonstrated exceptional talent and application in his time at the club so far and sets the benchmark for other young players at the club.

“We congratulate him on this achievement and look forward to watching him progress further in 2022-23.”
