Loughborough College’s newly renovated Radmoor Restaurant has cooked up a storm in the media this month.
The restaurant has enjoyed a feast of great coverage including reviews in the national trade magazine Stock Pot and in the Leicester Mercury whose review described their meal as the “best value three-course meal in Leicestershire.”
The Stock Pot magazine heaped praise on the restaurant’s student chefs, with specific mention to the flavoursome food, creative presentation and generous donation to the Chefs in Schools charitable organisation.
If that wasn’t enough, our students have also been commended in the Leicester Mercury by journalist, Becky Jones, who dined in the restaurant with her mother.
She wrote: “This Loughborough restaurant is serving the best-value 3-course meal in Leicestershire.
“I was taken aback by the small price for such incredible food. Our rating: 5/5.”
She also emphasised the “confident and experienced” student service and the appreciation of the staff all trying hard.
Darren Creed, the restaurant’s head chef and Hospitality and Catering Manager, has poured a pot-full of knowledge, mixed in a heap of practical experience and sprinkled an extra dollop of enrichment to enable his students to come away from their qualification with an extensive insight into the industry.
He said: “I am really proud of our team of students and staff who work tirelessly to improve what we offer.
“We ensure that learning is at the forefront of what we do and the proof is in the pudding with the outstanding feedback and reviews in the media.
“I am truly impressed and inspired by our students and thoroughly enjoy hearing that our customers are happy with the service the students provide.”
Loughborough College prioritises creating opportunities for students to advance their skillsets and encourage successful career pathways.
