Current and former learners of Loughborough College are hoping to make a splash in Japan this summer at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships, set to be held in Fukuoka in July.

College alumni Freya Colbert, Joe Litchfield, and Abbie Wood, alongside current student Jacob Whittle have been selected to represent British Swimming in the eight-day swimming championships, competing against athletes from around the world at the Marine Messe Fukuoka Arena.

Matt O’Dowd, Head of Elite Sport and Sport Development at Loughborough College said:
“It is great to see current and alumni learners taking the world stage. The World Championships in Japan will be a great place to fine-tune their performances before next year’s Olympics in Paris. We wish them all the best at the Championships”.

We’re wishing Abbie, Freya, Jacob, Joe, and all of Team GB the very best in Japan!
