Cyrus Todiwala OBE DL FIH and Pervin Todiwala FIH will cook a special gala dinner for Radmoor Restaurant guests to celebrate the Loughborough College students winning the ‘Best Teamwork’ award at the prestigious Zest Quest Asia culinary competition.

The Todiwalas, who founded the competition nine years ago, will travel to Loughborough from their London base on Thursday, 16th June following the success of Sophie Jones, Caitlin McGrath and Riley Monk, who took home the award created in honour of the late Chef Andrew Bennett MBE.

Zest Quest Asia was launched to help develop the knowledge and understanding of Asian cuisine among budding student chefs.

The Todiwalas will be joined in the kitchen by Sophie, Caitlin and Riley, along with one of the country’s top pastry chefs, Sarah Hartnett, to create a five-course meal for guests.

Darren Creed, Curriculum Manager for catering and hospitality at Loughborough College, said: “We’re so excited to welcome Cyrus, Pervin and Sarah to cook at the Radmoor Restaurant. It is an incredible opportunity for our three students to work alongside these incredible professionals and to learn even more about what it takes to work at the highest level in the industry.

“Cyrus and Pervin are legends in the industry and their family-owned restaurant, Café Spice Namaste, is a benchmark for quality and sustainability. They have been so supportive of student chefs over the years, so it is a privilege to welcome them to lead the kitchen for our special gala dinner. Our guests are in for an absolute treat.”

Pervin Todiwala, said: “Cyrus and I are delighted to be cooking with an incredible trio of young chefs. Sophie, Caitlin and Riley both impressed and inspired us with how they communicated and worked as a team. Not to mention their delicious entry. I think, with Sarah joining us, it will be a very special night indeed. We are very much looking forward to it!”

The five-course gala dinner will be banquet style and will cost £35 a head. Only 70 covers will be available for this rare and prestigious gastronomic treat.

Cyrus is a regular on cooking television shows such as BBC One's Saturday Kitchen and James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV. He also appears regularly on the BBF Food Programme and Café Spice Namaste is one of the restaurants featured in this year’s Pub in the Park food festival, the brainchild of Tom Kerridge.
