With the news that the Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars are all coming to Britain next season, it’s time to start finding out more about what it takes to play American Football.
The NFL clubs will be playing regular season games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley as the game continues to grow and reach its global fans.
UK NFL Academy based at Loughborough College is hosting a ‘Skills Showdown’ for budding American Footballers interested in playing the game. There will also be the opportunity to learn more about the education offered at the college.
“You don’t need any previous experience,” said Academy Director Alison Wyeth. “We are looking for athletes, soccer, rugby or perhaps basketball players who want to try something different.”
The ‘Skills Showdown’ will test your skills with a football; agility, kicking, passing and catching. Identified talent will be invited to the NFL Academy Tryouts on February 20th.
Think you have what it takes to one day lead the Jacksonville Jaguars out at Wembley? Come along and learn more about American Football and the education opportunities Loughborough College offers.
The ‘Skills Showdown’ is at Loughborough College on Saturday, February 4th. Places are limited, so registration is necessary.
