Loughborough College students have been praised for overcoming the adversity of the pandemic to achieve “incredible and astounding” A level results in 2022.

Students achieving A*-C grades hit 72%, a 10% increase on 2019, whilst nine subjects saw 100% of students pass, including notoriously challenging law, biology and politics exams.
, Principal & CEO of Loughborough College, said: “These results are incredible. We are so proud of our exceptional students, many of whom had never sat an exam before, who have achieved some astounding results.
“There is no question that this cohort has faced unprecedented challenges, but they have shown extraordinary character to overcome those barriers and sit some extremely tough exams.
“They have shown incredible resilience, maturity and passion for their subject areas in the past couple of years and, in the face of such adversity, I hope they are incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved.
“Seeing our students succeed and progress is what makes us, as staff, get into Further Education and I know their stories will inspire and motivate others who have aspirations to unlock their potential and improve their lives through education.”
