The Loughborough College Sports Department are seeking an English Lecturer, to teach English GCSE to a wide range of learners in the Sports Department from April 2025 (or earlier if available.)
Loughborough College Sport is a highly successful team with over 750 full time learners. The team offers a wide range of provision from Level 1 up to Level 3. Provision includes BTEC Sport and Sports Science courses and employment focused study programmes.
We are looking for someone who will deliver inspiring teaching and learning and monitor progress in lessons. You will ensure all learners are on track to achieve their target grades through implementing appropriate assessments and providing high quality feedback to learners.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and engage learners through the use of varied high-quality teaching and learning strategies.
You will be required to teach GCSE English and potentially some Functional Skills to our learners who are resitting their English. It is expected that you will have previous experience of teaching English GCSE. A relevant degree or equivalent is essential, and applicants must already possess a teaching qualification or be working towards one. You must have strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
