We have an exciting opportunity for an inspiring, dynamic and committed individual who is able to teach on our Hairdressing and Barbering courses.
The successful candidate will lead, deliver, assess and verify across our Level 1,2 &3 City and Guild Hairdressing and Barbering qualifications. You will lead programmes and deliver inspirational teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed in these subjects.
You will plan and prepare innovative and effective lessons; assess and give feedback on a regular basis; mark and standardise work in line with exam board regulations; engage with internal and external moderation processes; monitor the performance of students against Alps target grades; and provide effective intervention strategies to ensure the success of all students in meeting or exceeding their target grade.
We have adopted a blended learning model so it is essential that you have strong digital literacy skills and are able to teach remotely. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate students with varied teaching and learning strategies with an emphasis on learners making excellent progress in every lesson.
The successful candidate will also lead a team of lecturers to ensure quality excellence across Hairdressing and Barbering programmes.
To be considered for this position, you should have experience of teaching and assessment to a high standard to ensure learners gain the skills and knowledge they need to achieve their qualifications successfully. You should have experience of delivering, assessing and internally verifying City and Guild hairdressing & barbering qualifications at all levels. You should be able to work evenings.
