Emma’s Career is Set to Soar – Travel and Tourism Learner Shares Her College Experience

With dreams of launching a career in the travel industry, the up-to-date facilities at Loughborough College were ideal for student Emma Frearson to work towards her goals.

I would absolutely recommend the College to everyone

“The facilities here at Loughborough College are great. The library is big, there’s multiple areas and sections to study in, and the classrooms are modern and spacious.” Said Emma, who is in her first year of studying Level 3 Travel and Tourism.

Emma first landed on the decision to pursue her studies at Loughborough College after attending an open day event. She reflected, “When I first attended the open day, I just knew the College would help me take the next step in my education and prepare me for my future. Through my course, I have been able to sign up for numerous programmes and opportunities relating to my career development, like the Customer Cadet Scheme at East Midlands Airport.”

The Customer Cadet Scheme recruits a handful of outstanding aspiring travel and tourism professionals for a year long programme based at East Midlands Airport and offering hands-on experience in a variety of roles and career opportunities.

Looking back on her year so far, Emma credits her tutors and lecturers for her continued success. She shared, “My tutors are all very encouraging, and push me to achieve more than I ever believe I could. Everyone is supportive and understanding.”

As for the next generation of travel and tourism professionals, Emma is enthusiastic about the support and training offered by Loughborough College. “I would absolutely recommend the College to everyone. The course is interesting and inspiring and offers so much support and advice for a future in cabin crew and the travel industry.”
