Crish Heer | A Levels - Geography, Environmental Science, Economics

After going to many different colleges open days, Loughborough college was the one I felt was the best path for achieving my dreams and so far, I have no regrets. The college is not only one of the best in Leicestershire, but it also offers many more courses than others.

After going to many different colleges open days, Loughborough college was the one I felt was the best path for achieving my dreams and so far, I have no regrets. The college is not only one of the best in Leicestershire, but it also offers many more courses than others.

Geography – I really enjoyed GCSE Geography and I’m definitely enjoying A-level too. The context is very similar to GCSE and it expands my knowledge of the outside world.

Environmental Science – this course is very similar to Geography, I really enjoy it because I can use my geographical knowledge on how to protect the environment, however it is very content based which makes it quite challenging at times.

Economics – I love it! the course isn’t necessarily heavy content, but it does require your own knowledge. The course also helps me understand how people, businesses and governments respond to threats and opportunities to changes around the world.

My tutors are all polite, respectful, supportive, pushing me to my potential. They are always there creating a positive working environment.

The whole college is amazing. The classrooms are pleasing to be in with the library and study areas being very productive to be doing homework or revision. The college also has a shop inside it which makes it very useful as it can save time from getting food from elsewhere.

The college provides many opportunities, both for personal development and for my heath. I’ve been going to Esports sim racing frequently and have been doing peer mentoring to help others in their education as well as developing new skills.

Currently, I have my eyes set on studying at Buckinghamshire New University and complete a degree in commercial pilot training. Since childhood I’ve been always wanting to be a pilot because I love travelling and really love the physical sense of speed and one day, I hope to be in charge of a 550mph aircraft. I’m also looking to apply to the EasyJet cadet which would financially support with achieving my goals as well as securing my seat once I have graduated.
