First-Class Honours graduate Oliver opted for Loughborough College for his BSc Applied Sports Science qualification after hearing positive things about the lecturers and coaches at the College.
“I’d heard that the staff at Loughborough College were really supportive, and for me that’s definitely been the case,” said Oliver, who also delivered the Student Reply at his Graduation Ceremony. “I’ve been able to continue playing football to a high level, whilst studying and I haven’t had to make that sacrifice, it’s been really encouraging.”
Having now graduated, Oliver is looking forward to entering the world of work as he heads down to London for full time employment opportunities.
Throughout the three-year course, Oliver developed knowledge in the core principles of human physiology, psychology, and biomechanics, but it’s the transferable skills he learnt from his course mates and the staff that has given him an unforgettable experience.
Oliver shared: “I can really say I have developed new life skills, things I didn’t know or have before my course. The staff have helped me immensely and they have supported me in overcoming challenges and difficulties. I am ready to embark on my next chapter.”
The course, which is accredited by Loughborough University, allows students to gain skills in communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and analysis, enhancing the transition into employment or further education.
